Meet Dr. Morel
Dr. Jessica Morel
Dr. Morel started her education at UMBC in Baltimore where she was introduced to biopsychology. She then pursued her certification as an EMT and Paramedic before continuing on to medical school. Dr. Morel has worked as a paramedic for 18 years and is intimately familiar with issues concerning first responder stressors and trauma. She is also a gold star daughter and feels a strong connection with our nations veterans working at the VA Medical Center throughout her training and afterwards. Specializing in acute inpatient hospital settings and substance abuse treatment, Dr. Morel has a strong foundation for treating patients in crisis and first episodes. In branching out into private practice, Dr. Morel has a particular interest in assisting working professionals in receiving the care they need while maintaining privacy.
Dr. Morel does not engage in disability evaluations with new patients and does not prescribe controlled substances due to regulations for tele-psychiatry. With many other treatment options available this should have no negative impact on your care.

Dr. Morel is licensed in NC, VA, DC, and PA. All patients must be physically located in one of those states during their appointment to receive care.
